Today is just 102 days away from the launch of what many internet entrepreneurs are calling the search engine to change the way we all search and buy ads. What is this company? It's called Tazoodle.
What is Tazoodle?
For those of you who have not heard of the site yet, Tazoodle is a search engine launching in October of this year. It will work sort of like Yahoo and Google, however stray in the way they monetize their company. Unlike Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other popular search engine,s Tazoodle will pay it's advertisers, it's searchers, and the people who refer clients to them.
Will the Concept Work?
This is an important question. The team at Tazoodle will be selling ad packages. These ad packages will allow you to advertise your site within search results sort of like Google's Adsense. What makes this concept so exciting though, is the fact that people who advertise will get cash back, often times more than what they paid to advertise. The exact details are not available yet, but already some critics are claiming Tazoodle will be just another scheme based on a Ponzi structure. To me though it seems as if this site has spent months working and refining their concept and with the help of lawyers should have something emerge that is legal. Note that I am no lawyer and have yet to see the exact details, so take this as an opinion only.
Conclusion
We are still a long ways off from an official launch of the search engine. I think that the idea behind it can work, and will if it is build on a sound business model which strays from the typical ponzi structure. I'm excited to see what Tazoodle will bring us, and can't wait until October for the official launching of the site.
